Dez Einswell
Drawing since the age of four, it was evident that Dez Einswell possessed a vivid imagination, doodling for hours upon hours. Today Dez is no different, as he has created an alternate universe where its inhabitants known as "Dezbots" venture forth and explore the world in unconventional means that are often silly and alarmingly at times dark. Dez casually states, "Children are the essence of freedom in the mind." In many ways, what Dez implies is true, children are uninhibited in their ways and display an open air of curiosity, it's something that when we all grow old, we seem to lose. Using a wide array of color and applying sharp bold strokes, the creation of the Dezbots come alive as they seem to relish in grabbing our attention, drawing us into their world. A critical commentary on mankind's innate want to remain young and optimistic, Dez Einswell allows us take a second glance at the lives we lead as adults. Currently Dez Einswell runs "Dezeinhaus" - a creative design studio found in 1996 that houses the talents of illustration, motion graphics, graphic design, and web development. Ever eager and open to share his world with ours, Dez Einswell's future projects will expand upon his studies surrounding beats, rhyme, and life.
SLICK
born Richard P. Wyrgatsch II, was raised in Hawaii and then moved to Los Angeles when he was 18 years old to pursue a career in commercial art and escape prosecution for vandalism. It was at Otis Parsons where he stumbled into his crew K.II.S (Kill to Succeed). one of LA's most respected crews. It may have been his years as an airbrush artist in the 80's, his formal training at Art Center or Just his intuitive sense for dynamic composition that set his work apart from the rest in this fame driven sport we refer to as bombing. Third Rail Clothing, Fuct, Shaolin Worldwide, and more recently, Dissizit! are companies Slick founded. Being that fashion is so closely knitted with the music and motion picture industries, he found himself spray painting on such projects as "Bill & Ted's II","Charlies Angels"Ocean's12 and Fantastic 4 movies, "Pharcyde" and "Booyaa Tribe" albums and "Ice Cube", "Ice T" and "Red Hot Chili Peppers" Videos just to name a few. He has worked with everyone from small independent recording artists to some of the biggest fish in the industry. |
